Brand New Water by hougaard Brand New Water by hougaard
The Bergrivier Dam...Still under construction. They started building about 3 years ago and it's almost finished. At this level it was about 50m below 'full'.

I almost got arrested for this shot, I kinda sneaked in to get to the edge of the water...luckily I'm a good liar!

Pano of 4 horizontal shots...Levels, saturation :)

Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm

You know, I might just do it. Maar daar kom 'n paar weke van stilte, which I'll make full use of.

Daar is 'n paar really, really cool plekke.

wow hougaard...this shot looks like the water was from a different pictures cos the rocks and stones look soo unreal, also the mountains in the middle of the pictures look whitish and sort of artificial...this must have been a hell of a post processing...nice work

the rock field on your shore that breaks the symmetry of color and form is really great . that and the fact the sky reflection in the water is so blue and clear it seems to define the boundary of the water as a small area when if is ~40% the frame and the reflected mountain stands in as the opposite shore .

you have convinced me SA is a pretty place

Gorgeous - but I would expect nothing less!

I almost got kicked off the sidelines of a basketball game once, but talked them into letting me stay even though I had no media pass!
