Calm after the Flood by hougaard Calm after the Flood by hougaard
The Kleinmond lagoon as full as I've ever seen it. The water was about 2 inches from the top of the water level marker and the markers usually go up to a 50-year flood height.

5D II
16-35 II
0.9 soft grad

Kleinmond ( which means small mouth ), South Africa

What filers do you use to achieve it? Its wonderful. only the 0.9 soft grad. Any others like UV, ND or polarizing?

Very nice Hougaard. As usual, the colours are great. Temptation must have been to put the jetty on a 1/3 line, but I think the composition is much stronger as is. Sunset colours on water combined with the dark blues come out very strong. I might have edited out the debris floating on the surface to increase the mirror effect. Love your work!

Good point Ian, consider the debris gone :) 3rd line would have been awful here. It works if you can stand next to it, but not on top of it. The line would have needed something very strong to balance it. UWA and straight lines aren't good friends ;)
