There are a LOT of extreme sports out there today, people have taken almost everything that could have moved previously thanks to human or natural energy, and attached an engine to it so it can go faster. In a time where we need to aim at towards becoming independent from oil, this helps nothing a tall.

Luckily there are sports like kite surfing, where thrill seekers use nothing but the wind and the waves to get their adrenaline rush, and they deserve some respect for that!

The idea is to capture a picture that makes you want to go out into nature, and i can't think of anything better than imagining being that kite-surfer...Travelling over the waves at 50kp/h on a late summer afternoon, with the cool water spraying over your skin through the warm air, and going over a wave, catching 20 feet of air( he actually does), and being able to fly, for just a few seconds, as the sun slowly sets over the horizon...

i've got a lot of shots of the kite surfers of strand,firstly, i dont have my nd8 yet so i had to use my tobacco. and secondly out of the bunch i chose this one, because the surfer is really high, and he isnt so far that he's barely visible, yet he is small enough to make the waterscape look impressive...levels and curves
