I'll be honest and admit that I blended the waves from 2 exposures for some more drama. A trained eye might recognized it, but not the general public and it's the general public that has the money.

I would like opinions on the conversion....2 seperate normal conversions, some levels and dodging and burning.

I thought the timing looked weird but still the shadow was pretty persuasive. Great work!

Great composition! One of the splashing waves lacks a bit details and is a bit too highlighted as it appears on my screen. Don't know maybe you can dodge it a little more.

Mate, this is an awesome shot. The exposure blending is flawless, "trained eye" or not.

I did have an opinion on the B&W conversion, or rather the tones in the shot on the whole. I thought it easiest to demonstrate the feedback than try to explain. Hope you don't mind - I had a little play with your shot and uploaded it to my scraps: here (with my thoughts in the description).
