I finished the the stupid photography certificate course that I wasted my year on.
My camera was at the service center for 9 weeks due to Canon South Africa and their service agent having the most unlikely chain of mishaps, but I have it back now.
My mother passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. I post this not for attention or sadness, but as a tribute to her. I have a lot of respect for her and loved her with my heart and soul. She was the artistic influence in my life and I will miss her dearly.
Pending a stupid little glitch with paypal I have a massive box of goodies from BH coming, including two zeiss ZF lenses
From 2010 I'm going in to landscape photography full time. I'm kicking off with 4 weeks in the Eastern Cape mountains near Rhodes, then probably 5-8 weeks in Namibia in the rainy season. I'll start in South Africa, moving higher up into Southern Africa as I get to know the places better and become more experienced with the whole off-road thing.
It feels like my life starts in January and I can't wait to pick up my camera for that first sunset in the mountains and the Namib desert. A lot of epic images to come.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday with lots of good memories! Treasure the people you love, for they may be taken away at any moment.
